I think that I have managed to match the content of the dps with the image so that it conveys a clear relation (the image w/ the text) for the readers to understand and make connections. The image has been fixed very well (as seen in the making of the dps) and I am satisfied by the outcome of the image after all the editing done (levelling, lighting etc). I have also thought about the parting of the dps and made sure nothing was cut off in the case that it were folded. I have made the first letters on each paragraph a bigger size - This is the "artist's" initials and it is an intentional method to further engage the readers subconsciously (as it is the initials for her name).
I think that I could have made use of the space a bit more however due to the model's position, it was quite difficult deciding where I would put the text. I could have used a different image and made a 50/50 % ratio for image/text however I think that I have managed to fit everything in place. Even better, would've been if I had more space for text as the content seems rather short or rushed. Regardless, I think that the message to excite and inform readers has been conveyed. I think I could have added more colour variation with the text however I did not want to lose focus on the image which already has incredible colours . In this sense, overpowering or using wrong colours for the text would not have helped the flow of the dps. Using a more neutral colour base was slightly more beneficial as it helped to divide the attention while keeping things in balance.
Peer Assessment: WWW: The photography for the DPS is very well done and in focus. I also like the pose in which the model has been positioned as it gives off an Indie Pop vibe. I especially like the font used for the artist’s name and quote as it is very modern and works much better than a Serif font. The article is written well with many interesting quotes from the artist and has a very good introduction. EBI: You could have made the DPS more equal in terms of text to photo ratio (50%/50%) as there is currently around 70% image and 30% text. This would make the work fit the more conventional magazine DPS style, however I think the image fits very well with the article.
